very knowledgeable and friendly folks that work here. Excellent supplies for fishing the area and not expensive. I brought a friend along one day who needed equipment as he had not surf cast before and they had him up and running with great advice, pole and a spooled reel in a matter of minutes once he decided on what to get. Also very nice with advice about where the fish are biting and what bait has been working. Gave us directions to a spot we hadn't been before and we had a great day. can you tell I had a good experience here yet :). I would highly recommend.

I drove up to Surfland yesterday to have a Penn reel looked at. I hadn't been to Plum Island in 35 years. The ride in was worth the trip what a beautiful place. Martha was at lunch so I left the reel and went to get lunch myself when I came back she was finished repairing it. I paid more for lunch than I did for the repair she was able to do it with her eyes closed. I had a great time talking to Hong and Martha, she knows more about Penn than Penn does. I've been in a lot of fishing shops, Surfland is right up there and probably the friendliest one I've been in. Excellent product selection to keep you fishing.

I live in Wells Maine and this is my go to tackle shop. I recently had them go through and clean and service all of my reels and put on new line. If I can't find what I am looking for in Maine I call Surfland and they always have it. The drive is short and the service is great! They are the reel deal! Dave S.

Great shop with everything you need. Kay will be missed dearly. From when my grandfather took me as a child to when my brothers and I ventured off on our own to when I brought my kids for their first fishing trips, Kay was our guide. She would mark places on maps and tell us of the islands rich history, and give us the best advice without holding back.

A full service tackle and bait shop that exceeds all expectations! The amount of equipment and more importantly the amount of experience and fishing knowledge within the store is hard to describe. If they don't have it it doesn't exist! I will become a regular shopper to ensure I have the best gear in my box
